These reels aimed to show what Grapevine Parks and Recreation offers for the community. Two of the reels promote activities for youth by showcasing the facilities that would be used for swim lessons and spring break camp. The other two reels show how lively the staff at the recreation center are and how we engage and uplift all community members. By using diverse shots and fitting music, these posts became some of the most liked during my time with the city.
Social Media Intern- Department of English
Video Series: February Fridays
This weekly, month long project was ideated to showcase different groups of people in the Department of English. This trend has speakers say “We’re __(whatever they are identifying as for the video)___… of course we _________.” The “we” is followed by an inside joke, common misconception, or sarcastic remark to be a humorous video.

As the start of the series, this video was meant to draw an audience by catering to the general “English major experience.” The next two videos focused on subsets of the department, the minor offerings, which were a little more specified. This last video ended the series by showcasing what represents the Department of English best: the professors! This video project is the highest liked post made in the history of UTA English’s social media accounts.
I used the CapCut mobile app as a video editor to reduce noise, edit and thread the clips together, and add captions. I made this be my first project in the semester to get people’s attention early on for upcoming posts later on in the semester. Each video was posted every Friday of February because, according to audience research, that is when less people are busy and are on social media more frequently.
